IT Governance Executive

General Overview

The Governance IT executive will be responsible for supporting the governance and compliance. The role will include primary responsibility for supporting IT and organizational policies and standards in support of legal and regulatory compliance needs as well as general IT and organizational information security practices. He or she will liaise closely with other members of the SLNG business groups to undertake an assessment of their business needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following scope of tasks and duties:

  • Governance

    • Support organization wide IT Governance framework in alignment with company’s business objectives / goals

    • Support implementation of IT performance matrix to measure system & process performance

    • Enforce IT policy, standards and procedures / guidelines according to business requirements according toapplications,infrastructure, business process, and digital

    • Communicate clearly the IT Governance framework either through verbal or in written form

  • Compliance

    • Support policy/framework, governing of organization wide IT security and data extractions in accordance to internal policy, and applicable regulations (such as PDPA, cyber security act, EMA regulations, and computer misuse act)

    • Support policy/framework to facilitate periodic review of the organization wide system Role-Based Access Matrix

    • Facilitate and manage audit planning, coordination, management response, rationalization and collation and tracking of audit action items with internal and external parties

    • Perform IT compliances check by reviewing control effectiveness

    • Perform IT audit on established standards

    • Drive organization wide IT awareness initiatives through provisioning of CBT for security, identify possible gap of understanding in staff and facilitate re-training / awareness session

  • Financial Management

    • Manage the annual IT budgeting exercise with Finance

    • Track OPEX and Capex spend against budgets

    • Raise purchase requisitions and process invoices for IT purchases

    • Prepare waiver of competition, evaluation and award papers where necessary

    • Track contracts – utilization and renewals

    • Track assets, licenses, maintenance expiry dates, end of life/support dates

  • Special Projects

    • Support, manage / implement special IT projects (eg. knowledge management, privileged access management, business process management, ISO 27001, or any security / governance projects)

Work Experience Requirements
  • Preferably, up to 2 years’ working experience in Information Technology either in application support, or network infrastructure with intent to switch to IT governance OR currently in similar role for at least 2 years.
  • Expert abilities in Microsoft Office Suite software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, etc.

  • Active learner and ‘detail-oriented’ professional with strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to quickly develop an in-depth working knowledge of the range of SLNG business activities.

  • Able to work with staff and managers across all levels.
     
Education Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Computer Studies or equivalent from reputable university.
