Commitment to Safety
Commitment to Safety
At SLNG, we believe that all work should be carried out safely, or not at all. We aim to provide a safe working environment for everyone, and to safeguard our assets and the environment.
One of our proudest achievements is the impressive, world-class, safety record maintained throughout the construction of the Terminal. Taking Phase 1 to 3 into account, SLNG has achieved some 28 million man-hours worked without a Loss Time Injury.
Among other things, SLNG is committed to the following Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) goals:
- Provide a safe, secure and healthy workplace for all employees and workers at our facilities;
- Ensure that HSSE considerations are integrated into all activities;
- Encourage participation and consultation of employees and contractors to promote a culture where everyone takes responsibility for HSSE;
- Prevent any incident, including process safety incidents, that may result in bodily injury, ill-health or damage to property and environment;
- Continually improve our HSSE management systems;
- Protect the environment; and
- Respond in an appropriate and timely manner to any emergency at our premises.
